Guarantee of Authenticity
All coins are guaranteed genuine, and as described. All coins are sold with a 7 day money back guarantee- see "Returns and Refunds" below for complete details. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns regarding coins for sale, and I will do my best to provide a prompt response.
Grading
Grades for U.S. coins are based on "The Official American Numismatic Association Grading Standards for United States Coins", edited by K. Bressett, and "Making the Grade - A Grading Guide to the Top 25 Most Widely Collected U.S. Coins", by Beth Deisher. Canadian coins are graded per "Standard Grading Guide to Canadian Decimal Coins", by J. E. Charlton and R. Willey and "The Simplified Grading Guide for the Coins of Canada and Newfoundland", by Hans Zoell, assisted by C. Tannahill and B. Renwick. Mexican coins are graded based on "Condition Grading of Mexico's Modern Coins", by H. S. Ulan and "A Guide to the Grading of the Coins of Modern Mexico", by Robert G. Donati. Grading for all other world coins based on 40 years of collecting experience.
For rough comparison purposes, note my use of the following condition descriptions from the ANA grading guide (above):
BU = MS60: A strictly uncirculated coin with no trace of wear, but with blemishes more obvious than for MS63. Has full mint luster, but surface may be dull, spotted or heavily toned.
Ch BU = MS63: A mint state coin with attractive mint luster, but noticeable detracting contact marks or minor blemishes.
Gem BU = MS65: No trace of wear; nearly as perfect as MS67 except for some small blemish. Has full mint luster but may be unevenly toned or lightly fingermarked. A few barely noticeable nicks or marks may be present.
Please note!!! Grading is not a science- it is an opinion regarding the state of preservation and quality of strike. People often disagree about the appropriate grade for a coin- even the third party graders (PCGS, NGC, ANACS, etc.), who regularly assign differing grades to the same coins. If you have any questions or concerns about a particular coin, please contact me and I will try to provide you with the information you need in order to make an informed bid.
Also Note!!! All coin grades are determined as described above. I do not (and cannot) make any guarantees about what grade any of the certification services might assign to any particular coin.
End of Auction
I will contact you by email as soon as I can (usually within the hour for auctions and by the next day for store and Buy It Now purchases) with mailing instructions, so please be sure to have your email account set up such that my messages will get through. In order to get your coin delivered to you as quickly as possible, please respond to this email to confirm that you received it, and include your mailing address so that I can have your coin packaged and ready to mail, awaiting your payment. I would appreciate hearing from you within the 3 day period noted in my auctions. If I don't get a reply, I'll send a reminder after 7 to 10 days. I realize that sometimes sh*t happens- I can be flexible, but I need to hear from you. One week after a second notice (with no contact from you), I reserve the right to re-list the coin, apply for a refund of any auction fees.
Postage and Insurance
The total cost to send your coin to you will be listed on each auction page. This consists of a charge for postage, insurance and packaging as required. I do offer combined shipping of multiple items in order to reduce shipping costs. Unfortunately, the various possible combinations of items makes it dificult to include in the auction listing an accurate shipping quote for every case, so please feel free to contact me by email for more information regarding specific items. Orders outside the US may (or, more likely, will) involve additional charges- email me with your location to get a total amount. Any customs forms required will be filled out with complete and accurate information. International buyers- please be aware that there are some locations to which shipments are limited based on value. Before bidding, click this Restricted Countries link to see if your country is listed. If so, the total value of your shipment may not exceed $75.00. While insurance is included at no additional charge, I reserve the right to choose the most appropriate method (USPS or private insurance through U-PIC) for each shipment. Once your package is in the hands of the USPS, I have no control over what happens to it- including insurance on all items is a way to protect both of us in the event there is a problem.

Returns and Refunds
All coins are sold with a 7 day (from the day you receive the coin) money back guarantee, subject to the following conditions: I will refund your full purchase price (including shipping fees) along with a refund of your expenses to return the coin to me if the coin you receive is not the one described in the auction/store listing. For any other reason (or none at all), I will refund your purchase price minus shipping, and you must pay the return postage and insurance.
***IMPORTANT*** Even the professional grading services disagree at times when evaluating the grade of a coin. I describe all coins to the best of my ability, and a reasonable difference in opinion concerning the condition of the coin will not qualify for a full refund. See "Grading" above for an explanation of the grading standards I use.
If you have any questions about the coin, email me before the end of the auction and I will reply as soon as I can- I'd like you to have all the information you need in order to make an informed bid. All refunds will be sent immediately following my receipt of the coin in its original unopened holder- any coin removed from its holder (obviously, this doesn't mean the package it's mailed in- you do get to actually see the coin) can not be returned and will be considered sold. If you have any concerns about your purchase, please don't hesitate to contact me so that we can work out a solution that is accepable to both of us. My goal is that we both are satisfied with the transaction, and I will do whatever I can within reason to see that this happens- I want you to come back to my auctions and buy more coins :-)
Feedback
I will leave you positive feedback as soon as your payment is received (in a timely manner) and will inform you of this in my email to you to let you know that your coin is being shipped. Once you receive your coin, if you're satisfied with it, I'd appreciate it if you would consider doing the same for me. With regards to the Detailed Seller Ratings (the star ratings), be aware that although eBay tells buyers that a "4" rating is for acceptable performance, they use the numbers differently when evaluating sellers. If enough buyers rate a seller anything less than a "5", it can have a negative financial impact on the seller along with the possibility of prohibiting the seller from continuing to list items for sale. Just so you know...
